牛久直美 Naomi Ushik
エネルギーの循環をテーマに作品を制作する「光の美術家」
埼玉県育ち。物心ついた頃から絵ばかり描いていた。音楽を志したこともあるが美術の道を選び、大学で油彩を専攻。卒業後、古典技法教室でテンペラ画を学ぶ。テンペラ画を出発点とし、油彩、アクリル等も使い、オーロラや花火の煌めきを思わせる明るく大胆な画風で、絵をとおして明るく力強いエネルギーを届けている。2017年初個展。以降、個展、グループ展多数開催。一児の母となり、2022年より子供を見守りながらクリエイターとつながる、新しいスタイルの地域のコミュニティ「シェアアトリエつなぐば」でも個展を開き、子育てと制作の両立も模索。フットワークが軽いのが特技で、絵画のインスピレーションはいくらでも湧いてくるタイプ。作曲家とのコラボレーションなど、音楽をモチーフにした抽象画にも取り組んでいる。美術作品によって、地上の天国を表現するインスタレーション空間をつくることが今の目標。死んだ後の世界のような、 生まれる前にいた世界のような、 天に昇っていく気持ちのようなものに没入できる世界を見る人に提供することを目指している。好きなことは、着物、トライアスロン、タロットカード。

1984年生まれ。埼玉育ち。

Naomi Ushiku
An “Artist of Light” that creates artwork focusing on the circulation of energy.
Raised in Saitama, Japan, she used to draw pictures ever since she knew it. Though she dreamt of a way in music, she chose to master art, and majored in oil painting during her days in university. After graduating, she honed her skills by learning tempera techniques in a classical drawing class. Her tempera method is then combined with oil and acrylic paintings to depict the sparkles of auroras and fireworks. The bright and bold touch brings the viewers of the painting strong and positive energy.
Starting from her first solo exhibition in 2017, she has put on various solo and group exhibitions. After becoming a mother, she put on a solo exhibition in 2022 in Share Atelier Tsunaguba, a local community base where many creators gather, while looking after her child. She balances work and family, and is a proactive person with never-ending inspirations for her artwork. She has also done collaborative work with a composer, creating abstract paintings using music as a motif. Her goal now is to create an installation art that feels like heaven on earth. The space concept is an immersive art that makes the viewers imagine the world after death and the world after being born, and experience the feeling of rising up above. Her other passions are kimono, triathlon, and tarot cards.
